We are the editorial staff of the online media outlet “Manifesto ”Tribunal," the official information resource of the civil movement of the same name. Today, we are reaching out to you to explain who we are, what we write about, and why it is important for every Ukrainian.
Who we are and what our media is about
Our media was created on the basis of the civil movement “Manifesto "Tribunal", initiated by the public organization ”Ukrainian Film Institute." We are dedicated to protecting the constitutional rights and freedoms of those who defend our country — military personnel, veterans, families of fallen heroes, missing and captured defenders, as well as conscripts and imprisoned military personnel.
Over more than ten years of war in Ukraine, many painful issues related to violations of the rights of military personnel have accumulated. From illegal actions during mobilization to offenses within the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, from denial of medical care to violations of the rights of veterans and families of the fallen — all of this requires not only legal protection, but also widespread coverage in society.
Our mission
We believe that defenders also need protection. Our mission is to become the voice of those whose rights are violated but who often do not have the opportunity or the means to defend themselves. We are working to:
Highlight the most pressing issues of violations of the rights of military personnel and their familiesInform society about the constitutional rights of military personnelAssist in finding legal aid and human rights organizationsDocument violations for further investigationFight for the creation of a fair system for protecting the rights of military personnel
